Season 8; Episode 6: Southern Comfort

Southern Comfort

My Thoughts on the Episode:

This weeks episode had to be one of my favorite ones so far this season! I love that they brought Garth back, and as much as I miss Bobby, Garth taking over Bobby's role in the hunter universe was just hilarious. And I'm glad Dean realized that it wasn't just because Garth wanted an in with the hunters but because it was is was of coping wiht the loss of a great hunter.

I'm still on the fence with Amelia. I'm not really seeing the amazing connection that Sam had with her that made him leave hunting behind. She just seems like a snooty bitch if you ask me. Hello woman, if Sam Winchester is at your front door, you don't ask question's, you let the gorgeous man in!

This monster that they chose for this episode, the Spectra, turned out to bring out some tough times between the brothers. With the episode starting out with Sam and Dean arguing over Dean's friendship with Benny and Dean trying not to care if Sam were to kill him like Dean did to Sam's friend Amy. And then, the Spectra smelled it, he smelled the betrayal of Sam Winchester in Dean and took advantage of it. No doubt, it was scary as hell seeing Dean hold a gun to his beloved brother and kick his ass, but Garth. The man of the hour took a swing at Dean, which if Dean was in his right mind would have pummled him back, but the betrayal overcame him. But hearing it all come out, and Dean reveal his pain, was heartbreaking. Sam has caused Dean alot of heartache and betrayal. And Sammy doesn't help by ending the episode saying that he would be the hunter to kill Benny.

Man oh man, the drama that is the Winchester Brothers. I love it. Supernatural is one amazing show!
