My Thoughts On The Episode:

 

Now Supernatural is getting back to it's roots of all different kinds of monsters. I must say this was a nice change, and very unique. The writers of Supernatural sure know how to keep coming up with awesome ideas for episodes even after 8 seasons. Kudos to you!

I'm saddened by how much this episode focused on just how much happier Sam was living a normal life and finding a girl he really loved. The last time we really saw him love was with Jessica at the beginning of the series. As much as I like when Sam is happy, I just cannot imagine what would happen to the show if Sam quit hunting all together. Maybe this season is meant to be the end for the Winchester Brothers and Supernatural all together? Or maybe this is why Supernatural writers created the character of Benny, who is like a brother to Dean, will Benny be taking Sam's place? I really hope not. There is nothing like the chemistry that Jared and Jensen have together on screen. Maybe, just maybe, but this is hoping by a long shot that Sam will find some way to balance Amelia and Riot with Dean? But when the Winchester Brothers love something or someone other than each other, it always ends bloody...

I was hoping to see more about Castiel since the last episode ended with that dramatic scene, but they left us with nothing. Also no more information about Benny and Dean's time in purgatory. But I also read ahead, at an episode titled "Blood Brothers" where Sam meets Benny, and we discover alot of secrets between Dean and Benny.

Oh and I love Jensen Ackles directing! :)
And not just because he is freakin' hot!

The ending of the episode where we see Sam daydreaming about Riot and Amelia. What an awesome name for a dog! But how sweet it was that Amelia got him a birthday cake. He was dumbfounded. He never aknowledged his birthday while he was hunting. It was very sweet to see Sam smiling and happy. But part of me wonders how long he would be happy before he would miss Dean, hunting or worse, something would happen to Amelia when a monster in Sam's past comes to haunt him.

I can't wait for next week! :)
